Even before Martin Afonso de Sousa Inaugurastes the first sugar cane contrivance in Brazil, cachaça had been consumed along the brazilian northeast region. And since then it’s one of rares, atherwise the only one brazilian product that has never got in comercial crisis.

Because of its popularity and consomption this product increase its inportance and became name of streets in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Minas Gerais states. Cachaça also has been in habits and traditions of brazilian people beeing mentioned in poems, folks, religion rituals, musics and many other artistics manifestations.

As scotch is related to Scotland, wine in Italy, campagne to France, tequila to Mexico and vodka to Russia, cachaça has always been and will be part of brazilian culture.
